DETROIT (WJBK) - It's a Memorial Day residents living in a Detroit east side neighborhood say they won't forget after waking up to the sounds of gunfire.
Neighbor Charles Taite says scary thoughts started going through his mind.
"I hope I'm not next.. I hope it's not my house. I hope it's not my area but it was," he said.
Police say a neighbor found a 28-year-old white man's body in the driveway of a house in the 19000 block of Moross.
"In the house where it happened at...the guy...no one stays in that house," Taite said.
After Taite saw the victim he says he also saw something near his body that made him think back to Sunday.
"All day yesterday we kept seeing bikes, motorcycles and mopeds, going up and down this street just running and racing. They act like Moross is a freeway," he said.
Another resident who did not want to be identified told Fox 2 that they recognized the bike because of its bright colored wheels and that its been seen in the neighborhood a number of times.
