Police look for carjacking suspects caught on camera

Detroit police have released surveillance video in hopes of catching three men suspected of violent robberies.

The video is from a Coney Island on Detroit's east side. Investigators say the men were casing the place looking for someone to rob. When they couldn't find a victim, they moved a block away to the parking lot of St. James Rehabilitation Center on Gratiot.

Police believe these same men shot 22-year-old Karesha Banks as she was leaving work there during a robbery attempt. She is expected to recover.

"Someone in the area knows these guys. Maybe they've talked about it or can identify them from their clothing; they have some distinct designs on the front of their hoodies, and we're imploring. We're asking for the public's help. You see that they are casing not just that victim, but other potential victims," says DPD Sgt. Jonathan Parnell.
