Teen pulled from bathtub and assaulted in Orion Twp

A teenage girl was alone at home relaxing in a bathtub when she was attacked and assaulted; now the intruder is still at large.

It happened Wednesday evening at a home on Morgan road off Baldwin and 1-75. The man, who may have been stalking the 17-year-old girl, seemed to somehow know the moment she was alone.

"That's so many people's worst nightmare, to be naked and have a stranger attack them," said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. "The person made their way all the way through the home, into the bathroom that had a closed door, where the woman was soaking in the tub.

"He dragged her out of the tub and into the living room."

She kicked him and screamed as he unbuttoned his pants, while at the back door, the family dogs were barking. That was when the attacker became startled and ran away.

"Obviously extremely traumatic and a scary moment for this young lady and we want to make sure that we find this person," Bouchard said.

Investigators believe the young woman may have been watched somehow for some time, although they're not sure who he is.

"He came prepared," Bouchard said. "He had a hoodie on; he had something over his face."

The victim is traumatized but fortunately not physically injured. Her family thankful that the terrifying assault didn't go any further than it did.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, about 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall with a muscular build, and dark eyebrows. If you know anything about his identity or where he is, call the sheriff's office (248-858-4951) right away.
