Woman narrowly escapes death after car stops on train tracks in Augusta Township

A woman in her 60's is ok Saturday after narrowly escaping a freight train that crashed into her car early Saturday.

According to police, the woman's vehicle stopped and would not restart while she was attempting to cross the railroad crossing on McKean Road in Willis, Michigan. Willis is in Augusta Township located in Washtenaw County.

The train hit the car and carried it roughly 75-100 feet according to officials. According to residents, there are no crossing gates where the car stalled.
