The Detroit Fire Department (DFD) said shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, they were called out to Belle Isle for reports of a boat capsizing leaving many in the water. When they arrived, fire officials say multiple boats were capsized and 12 people were in the water.

A manager can be seen trying to calm the situation, but one of the patrons chases the server with a plate. The patrons then begin punching the server after she falls to the ground. The manager attempts to protect her, and one of the patrons throws the server's cell phone to the ground.

Burke was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour without lights or siren, and when hitting the brakes, the crash occurred at 94 miles per hour. "He chose to disregard the law and endangered life," said Assistant Prosecutor Cory Newman.
