Back-to-school season is here, and Detroit?s own University of Michigan wide receiver Semaj Morgan is making sure local kids start the year ready to succeed on Sunday, August 31st, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Sound Mind Sound Body Community Engagement Center, the Semaj J. Morgan Foundation will host its annual Backpack Giveaway?providing free backpacks, school supplies, and a day of fun for youth across Metro Detroit, with a special focus on foster care and underserved families. It?s more than just school prep?it?s about building confidence, community, and opportunity. Bre Teamer chats with Semaj J. Morgan Sr. about the event.
