Beyonce's going vegan, so what's the big deal?

Superstar Beyonce recently announced she's going vegan to get her body ready for Coachella in April.

The Queen Bee says she's had success with veganism in the past and she's doing it to get her body and mind in top form for the big show.

Cardiologist and author of "The Plant Based Solution: America's Healthy Heart Doc's Plan to Power Your Health, " Dr. Joel Kahn, has been a vegan for more than four decades. He says there are plenty of great health reasons to give up meat and dairy.

Dr. Kahn says when you go vegan you start to notice changes in your body as early as two weeks. He says heart doctors have seen changes in arteries for the better, as early as three weeks, in vegans.

Dr. Kahn adds if you're planning to become a Vegan be sure to supplement with vitamins B12, D, and Omega-3 or fish oil.
