Making Wishes Come True, One at a Time

For decades, the Make-a-Wish Foundation has been provided incredible experiences for terminally ill children and their families.

Now, one of the program's local participants is doing his part to help the dreams of other kids come true.

Matthew Chayet, a sophomore at Bloomfield Hills High School, received a wish while overcoming health challenges that resulted in more than 30 recent hospital stays. His family became more involved in the organization and will host an event on Wednesday, Oct. 5th at Core CYCL in West Bloomfield to help raise funds.

Matthew and his mother, Fawn, visited the Fox2 Studios Sunday morning to preview the event, which features different exercise classes beginning at 6 a.m. The classes are free, though donations are suggested. Space is limited and can be reserved by emailing Fawn Chayet.
