Chrysler recalls over 24,000 Jeeps due to possible loss of drive power issue

Chrysler is recalling 24,238 Jeep vehicles because of a software error in an over-the-air (OTA) update that may cause a loss of drive power. 

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced in a recall notice that the loss of drive power may increase the risk of a crash.

The recall covers certain 2023-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles.

What you can do:

Owners with one of the recalled Jeep vehicles will receive a notification letter on Nov. 25, and owners can also call Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that Chrysler's number for this recall is A7C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall can be found on NHTSA.gov beginning October 23, 2025.
