Habitat for Humanity looking for volunteers

Due to unexpected circumstances, Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County is in dire need of 25 volunteers for Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21 in Southfield from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Southfield.

Volunteers will be working on approximately 15 different projects throughout a pre-specified block of a Southfield neighborhood (hence Rock the Block) that will include landscaping, painting, cleaning gutters, repairing fences and porches with homeowners working alongside volunteers.

The event will begin at Catalpa Oaks Park, which is located at the corner of Greenfield and Catalpa in Southfield, MI. Parking is available.

When: October 20-21, 2016 

Where: Southfield, Michigan, Bonnie Acres subdivision.

This project is a collaborative effort between Habitat Oakland County, City of Southfield, and the City of Southfield Neighborhood Services Committee.
