The holiday season is in full swing in metro Detroit. It's a time for giving and, apparently, a time for taking, too - and that's where the police come in.

"He just walks up, grabs it and you can hear him say, 'I'll take these,'" said Aubre' Meyers.

A Ring doorbell captured a few packages being stolen at 2 p.m. on Nov. 23 in Clinton Township.

"A $350 bottle of perfume, Bond No. 9, a nice little gift for my wife and - gone," Meyers said. "And some of her artwork I had custom made."

Meyers lives on Wellington Drive. She says in the two hours between UPS dropping off a package on the doorstep and the time it took when they arrived home, they were stolen.

"I work hard every day," she said. "We all do, and just to have something like that happen, it's just, wow. I don't know what to say to that."

A closer look at the doorbell camera and you see the suspect walk by with a small child and someone else, glancing over at the newly delivered parcels. Minutes later, he's back.

"I'll take these," he says out loud, recorded on the Ring doorbell camera.

And he had young, impressionable minds not far behind with a small child and someone else walking with him.

"It's sickening," Meyers said. "It's supposed to be our future. They are watching that."
