Southgate Hotel looking for owner of sock monkey

A sock monkey left behind at a Southgate hotel is going viral on Facebook.

Pictures of the stuffed animal were taken by hotel employees and shared over 3000K times on Facebook as of Sunday afternoon.

They show the monkey doing chores and even holding a note saying he's ready to go home.

Whoever left him behind checked out of the Comfort Suites on Northline Road sometime last week.

If this is your sock monkey or you know who it belongs to, you're asked to call the hotel.

UPDATE: Hotel management says the sock monkey was picked up over the weekend and has been safely returned to its owner in Alabama.
