Thursday night's game between the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins has been postponed as Minnesota players voted against playing as part of social justice protests throughout the sports world, according to multiple baseball reporters.

The Detroit Lions canceled practice Tuesday to take the opportunity to recognize and protest the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisc. 

"The medical examiner thinks she suffered a cardiac event at 5 o'clock in the morning. She was not declared dead until almost 3 o'clock in the afternoon - which meant she was left alone for nine hours."

Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor is accused of allowing institutional racism to continue at the school, resulting in Black students being humiliated in school and being treated harsher than white students for in-school violations.

Three officer-involved incidents out of Saturday's clash between police and Detroit Will Breathe protesters are being looked at by the professional standards section of the Detroit Police Department, Chief James Craig said.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig plans to speak on the weekend clashes between police and protesters Monday. More than 40 people were arrested and several demonstrators believe they were victims of police brutality over injuries they sustained.

A violent clash between protestors and Detroit Police on Woodward late Saturday night was all captured on cell phone video. 

Priscilla Slater was arrested June 8 and died June 10. The Harper Woods Department of Public Safety said the 38-year-old was found unresponsive in a holding cell. Medics tried to revive her, but it was too late.

The information was redacted from the police department a couple days after her death at the time of the protests that were held.

A new poll of Michigan residents shows a slightly tighter race between former Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump, who has made some gains among Michigan voters.

"This declaration that racism is a public health crisis is really important for two big reasons. For one, it just states a fact and it is inarguable that the impact of racism and prejudice on the systems that we live in, have led to worse health outcomes for people of color in Michigan and frankly across the country. 

The late Congressman John Lewis was not moved, never swayed, or dissuaded from pursuing his passion for justice.
