Detroit Axe in Ferndale is an entertainment space boasting a 3,000-square-foot venue with the restaurant, Corner Tavern and Game Room. There are 12 lanes where there are competitors, a variety of classic bar games including pinball machines, dartboards, shuffleboard, bumper pool and throwback arcade games. Detroit Axe East is located at The Mall at Partridge Creek in Clinton Township, Michigan at 17420 Hall Road. The Yard at Corktown is home to the third Detroit Axe. The Yard at Corktown offers axe throwing and like the Ferndale location over 500 board games for one of the most unique Game Room experiences. National Bloody Mary day is January 1. Danilo Bo?ovi?, author and Co-founder of Swizzle Rum Bar and Drinkery was supposed to show us how to make a Bloody Mary. Unfortunately, we had some technical issues, and had to keep the interview short. Here is his recipe for a Bloody Mary: 2 oz Absolut Elyx Vodka 4 oz tomato juice ? oz lemon juice 2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce 4 dashes Tabasco Sauce Pinch of salt and pepper Pour all ingredients into a Collins glass filled with ice, cover with a cap-shaker and mix the cocktail by gently shaking. Repeat until the cocktail becomes cool. Garnish with a lemon wedge and three olives. The book Barkeep: The Art of Mixology, Bar, and Cocktails" comes out on January 25, 2022.

Ingredients 1 flax egg (1 tbsp Flax seed / 3 tbsp of Water 1 ¼ cup unsweetened plain almond milk 3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar 1 cup all-purpose flour or 1:1 gluten-free all-purpose flour 1 cup fine yellow cornmeal ½ teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons baking powder ½ teaspoon sea salt ⅓ cup cane sugar or coconut sugar ⅓ cup vegan butter, melted (or oil), plus more for serving Instructions Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 8×8 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray or vegan butter. Prepare flax egg in a small bowl and let set for a few minutes to gel up.
