Former Detroit Police Assistant Chief Steve Dolunt says, on one hand, it puts another tool in the toolbox to keep the public safe. But he admits there are many concerns.

An out-of-state scammer acted as a federal employee convinced a Macomb County woman to send in more than $100,000, and investigators say he played on the woman's fears with threats of arrest. The woman received a call in February from the scammer where Shelby Township Police Sgt. Kevin Bailey said the woman had a family emergency, which made her the perfect target.

The family who owned the car said they could not get any answers, fearing they may be stuck with another massive bill just to get the car back. They also believe confusion between police agencies and the towyard has left them in limbo, so FOX 2 decided to step in.

A group of small business owners are speaking out over growing concerns about what is being called a crisis that is hurting the bottom line of many. Business owners gathered on Wednesday to express concerns over tariffs put on by the Trump Administration.

Just after 6 p.m., Detroit police say they were called out to the 20400 block of Pinehurst for a reported shooting. When they arrived, officers say they discovered three people with gunshot wounds, all dead.

The plea from police comes gayer they say two men in a pickup truck in the area of Maple and Chesterfield motioned for some children on scooters to go inside. The children, instead, went home. But Birmingham Police say the truck then followed the children home.

The one, who police identified as William Wilson from Texas, whipped out his phone and hurled slurs towards the couples. Then he allegedly hurled punches at Chelsi?s wife, Celia Howter.

Around 11 p.m., the victim allowed the suspect into her residence and, while inside, the man allegedly lured the victim into the bathroom and tried to close the door. Police said he implied he had a knife and threatened to sexually assault her. A struggle ensued between the two, and at one point the suspect physically assaulted the victim.
