Two undercover Dearborn police officers were shot early Friday morning in Dearborn Heights. They are expected to recover and the suspect is in custody, per sources.

Moderna developed the vaccine with Merck and tested it together with Keytruda, a common immunotherapy treatment for melanoma.  If regulators approve the vaccine, thousands of patients who have had high-risk melanoma tumors removed could benefit from it as soon as next year, Moderna President Stephen Hoge said.

A heartwarming story out of Detroit unfolded on Thursday when a family living in a homeless shelter was gifted a home from the city. LaTaeya Crowder, 14, told her story on FOX 2 in recent weeks, which included overcoming the struggle of living without a home while excelling in school. City officials saw the segment and made moves to get her and her family into a house of their own. The surprise was revealed on McKinstry Street Thursday afternoon.

The owner of High Vibes Trail Rides in Milford, Lucie Ptasznik, wants her horses back. Her attorney, Todd Flood, filed a motion demanding they be returned. He says last month a disgruntled former employee called in an anonymous, bogus complaint of neglect. Animal Control responded and found the horses in good health with food and water.

Mark Sharrow, 37, was charged with 12 counts; Five are possessing child sexually abusive material and five are using a computer to commit a crime. The other two stem from police finding meth and LSD after they executed a search warrant at his residence in Warren.
