A Detroit rapper sues after a Lyft driver denies her a ride due to her size, a Michigan couple is wanted after two puppies are found starved to death in an empty home, and a Dearborn Heights home invasion turns into a shootout: here are the top stories from FOX 2's Week in Review.

1. 'I can fit in that car': Detroit rapper sues after Lyft driver says she won't fit in his vehicle, refuses ride A Lyft driver denied a Detroit rapper a ride because of her size - and now she's suing. Dajua Blanding, known on stage as Dank Demoss, requested a ride to a Detroit Lions watch party earlier this month. However, when the driver arrived, he saw Blanding and told her he couldn't give her a ride because of her weight. Blanding was recording the encounter.

2. Michigan couple wanted after 2 puppies found starved to death inside empty home Authorities are on the hunt for two people who left their dogs behind to starve inside a Genesee County home. Charges have been authorized against 46-year-old Bruce Arlyn Austin and 43-year-old Jamie Lynn Cross after two of their dogs were found dead in an empty home last fall.

3. Dearborn Heights home invasion turned shootout caught on camera, three injured A home invasion led to a shootout in Dearborn Heights over the weekend, injuring the homeowner and the suspect. The horrifying moment was caught on camera as Benjamin Nevers got into a shootout with a man who broke into his home on North Brookside.

4. Detroit bicyclist shot to death; 30 rounds fired in ‘targeted’ hit A Detroit bicyclist was surrounded and shot to death in broad daylight in what police called a targeted attack in Detroit's New Center area. It was around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday on Woodward Ave near Grand Blvd when a man on a bike was surrounded by four men. Once they surrounded him, the four men opened fire, killing him in front of Exotic Liquor.

5. Explosion at Troy medical facility leaves 5-year-old dead after hyperbaric chamber blows up Officials in Troy confirmed a child died after an explosion at a medical center Friday morning. Fire and police officials said the boy died after a hyperbaric chamber blew up at a center on Kirts Boulevard.

6. Macomb County woman sentenced to life in prison after child dies from abuse nearly 6 years later A Macomb County woman will spend the rest of her life behind bars after abuse inflicted on her then-boyfriend's baby a decade ago led to the child's death. Hilary Ulp, 46, has been in prison since 2016 for abusing Nicolas Kuras and breaking his bones in 2015.

7. 'The city needs to help': Lafayette Coney Island responds after second closure due to rats After rats led to another closure at Detroit's Lafayette Coney Island, the downtown restaurant took to social media to address the issue - along with accusations made by a neighboring business owner.  On Monday, Lafayette posted a pest inspection report dated Jan. 22 that stated there was "no new activity to report." The Detroit health department said the Coney Island voluntarily shut down on Jan. 24 due to evidence of rats.

8. Oakland County woman wins $4 million on Michigan Lottery scratch-off ticket her dad gifted her An Oakland County woman said a Michigan Lottery ticket that won her $4 million was given to her by her father "just because."

"My dad bought a $150,000,000 Spectacular instant game ticket and gave it to me," the 26-year-old said. "I was surprised when he handed it to me, and I asked him why he bought it for me. He said it was a ‘just because gift,’ which I thought was really nice of him."

9. ICE arrests start in Metro Detroit: What rights to know Immigration and Customs Enforcement, along with several other federal agencies, are beginning operations in Michigan and Ohio where Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) have arrested ‘immigration violators’ in the area. Cities throughout the country are reporting similar events. In Chicago, ICE agents began ‘targeted operations’ while Atlanta residents are seeing similar arrests. Here in the Detroit area, HSI Detroit posted on X (formerly Twitter) that it began operations but did not specify when.

10. Army soldier, undocumented immigrants among men busted trying to meet Michigan teens for sex Eight men, including an Army solider on leave for holiday break and two men not supposed to be in the United States, are in custody after a Genesee County sex crimes bust. The Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team (GHOST) targets suspects preying on children. In its first bust of the year, GHOST agents arrested numerous men who were planning to meet teens for sex.
