National Weather Service Crews deployed to White Lake and Oxbow Lake

Meteorologist Michael Estime spoke with Meteorologist Kyle Klein from the National Weather Service office in Detroit about what their crews will be looking for as they survey damage from Saturday evening's severe storms. Though a tornado is suspected, the National Weather Service needs to inspect the scene to determine whether the damage was caused by a tornado or straight line winds.

Flooding on I-75 forces freeway closure, reopened later Saturday night

As severe weather and heavy rain pushed into Metro Detroit, both directions of I-75 were closed at 11 Mile in Royal Oak due to flooding.

Tornado Warnings lifted in Metro Detroit; flash flood, thunderstorm warnings in place

Tornado warnings that were issued for parts of Oakland and Macomb Counties were both lifted around 8:30 p.m. Saturday as a severe storm pushed into the Metro Detroit area.
