A suspect is dead after a shooting involving a Michigan State Police trooper in Waterford on Thursday night.

The article cites multiple sources regarding the discovery of a marijuana cigarette found in a county-issued vehicle driven by the sheriff in June 2025, which sparked an investigation by Washtenaw County.

The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office says that on Monday, May 11, a shopper at Somerset Mall, identified as 53-year-old Subi Saad of Northville, allegedly accosted two men inside a store with what prosecutors described as "vulgar remarks about Islam," while also saying he had a gun in his car. From the video, the store appears to be Louis Vuitton.

Wyandotte police, who are assisting at the scene, confirmed with FOX 2 that an officer-involved shooting had occurred in the area.  Police sources say on Thursday, Ecorse officers were called out to a domestic violence incident in the area of Outer Drive and High Street. When they arrived, a suspect ran out of the home and away from police.
