Officials from impacted communities and the Great Lakes Water Authority provided an update Sunday morning on a water main break affecting Lake Orion, Orion Township, and part of Auburn Hills. Homes and businesses are expected to lose water at some point in the day as reserve sources run out, leading to an emergency situation for these communities.

Man shot and killed on Detroit's east side, suspect still at large

Police said that a man was shot and killed at about 11:30 a.m. today in the 10800 block of Hayes in Detroit.  They said a still unknown suspect fired shots from inside his vehicle at the adult male victim who was inside of a different vehicle.  The suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are under investigation.

But the mother of another student is worried because she says he has been bullying her daughter, who is a classmate.
