Police in Shelby Township are investigating a shooting that happened in a parking lot near a CVS on Shelby Road.

Following a two-month hunt for suspects responsible for numerous breaking and entering cases at smoke shops, Macomb County enforcement agencies finally nabbed the suspects.
The band director and music teacher at Eisenhower High School is stepping down from his post at the school amid allegations of misconduct. While it's unclear what that misconduct is, the Macomb County Sheriff's Department has confirmed a criminal complaint has been filed against a staff member at the school.
Following reports of a hit-and-run incident, police were interviewing one of the victims in a Rochester Hills subdivision when the alleged suspect drove by the two. After pointing out the driver, the officer initiated a traffic stop. When the officer asked the driver to put her car into park, the 54-year-old Shelby Township resident backed into the squad car. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for a blood test and was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
Shelby Township police spent part of their Wednesday night collecting a ball python that had crawled inside a car. They're confident the python is a pet to someone close by, seeing as they aren't native to the region. It's currently being held at the Macomb County Animal Control.
