Four arrested in connection to almost half of all Ferndale thefts from vehicles this year

On Tuesday, Ferndale Police announced they had arrested four men connected with almost half of all thefts from cars in the city in 2019. They're also tied to more than $400,000 worth of stolen vehicles and a myriad of stolen valuables from hundreds of thefts. The four are believed to have made thefts in Detroit, Farmington City, Grosse Pointe Park, Hazel Park, Lansing, Oak Park and Warren.

Auburn Hills Police need help identifying suspects who displayed porn on I-75 billboard

Late Saturday night, Auburn Hills Police began receiving multiple phone calls of a bizarre scene taking place. A billboard on I-75 had pornography playing on it. What appears to be a prank has turned into a city-wide investigation after a video has surfaced showing two men breaking into the structure underneath the billboard, where the controls are. While it's only a 90-day misdemeanor for displaying pornographic material, burglary is a felony offense.

Nine people die every day from distracted driving. That may come in the form of texting, putting on makeup or just not paying attention. But for students at Farmington Hills, that's nine people too many. These teens are joining kids from five other schools to end distracted driving. They're producing videos that raise awareness about the dangerous practice - hoping that the lesson comes through clearer for others as young as them.
